Join us as the D365 Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, development, customization, and implementation of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions. While your initial focus will be on the CRM module, you will have the exciting opportunity to expand into other modules in the future. A crucial part of your role will be to mentor, guide, and support two D365 Developers, actively helping them grow their technical and professional skills.
You'll be part of a dynamic team, working from our central London office 4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full development lifecycle, taking responsibility for your team’s design, coding, testing, and documentation of large, complex, or mission-critical applications in a cloud-first environment using Dynamics and Power Apps in MS Azure.
- Handle day-to-day line management activities, including 1-to-1s and the creation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Perform configuration and customization of Dataverse / Dynamics entities and forms.
- Develop PowerApps integrations with other Azure components like Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Functions.
- Support platform upgrades and maintenance for the PowerApps environment.
- Proactively identify and manage problems, incidents, risks, and issues.
- Build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environments.
- Embrace your role as a leader and understand the impact of your behaviour on a results-focused project team.
- Collaborate closely with the IT Enterprise Development Manager to guide staff and facilitate issue resolution.
- Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Plan and prioritize team workload to ensure the timely delivery of development work across various projects.
- Drive Agile or DevOps practices within the team, including chairing daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the seamless integration of D365 with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.
- Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of existing customizations and plug-ins.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, solution designs, and deployment guides.
- Ensure strict compliance with data security, governance, and quality assurance standards.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Proven, hands-on experience as a Dynamics 365 Developer.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules, particularly CRM.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), and JavaScript.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or similar Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor other developers in a team environment.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
